NAVI MUMBAI: An incriminating video clip showing how a cleaning worker from the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) was recently seen dumping waste collected from the environmentally sensitive mangroves along the Palm Beach road, led to a prompt action and an investigation against the guilty staff member.
NCP National Secretary General (Minorities Department) Saleem Sarang told TOI: “Just a few days ago, I was shocked to see the civic worker brazenly dumping garbage in the green mangroves of Palm. Beach Road, near the Wadhwa Tower. This not only goes against the environment, but also mocks the reader Swachha Bharat. So I gave this video clip to NMMC so that strict action could be taken. ”

Sarang added, “Nature lovers regularly take time to remove litter from inside mangroves in various parts of Navi Mumbai. not to throw garbage in the mangroves. ”
Deputy City Commissioner B Rajale said they have identified the civic worker who is seen in the video clip, and an additional process is underway to take ministerial action against him.
Meanwhile, NCP leader Sarang also tweeted about the issue online, for which he received several responses from netizens who have also called for the protection and conservation of marine plants essential for the environment.
