A man was left in a life-threatening condition following a serious assault on Sunday evening (October 31).
Essex Police were called over reports of serious bodily assaults on Broadway in Leigh-on-Sea at around 6 p.m. where a man was seriously injured.
The man was rushed to hospital by ambulance where he remains in a life-threatening condition.

A 31-year-old man from Southend was arrested on suspicion of intentionally causing GBH and was remanded in custody pending further investigation.
There was a heavy police presence in Leigh On Sea throughout the evening as police cordoned off the area of the serious assault and continued to investigate the incident.
An Essex Police spokesperson said: ‘We are currently at the scene of a serious assault in #LeighonSea.
“We were called to Broadway shortly after 6 pm today (Sunday October 31) to report that a man was injured.
“When we went there we found an injured man and he was taken to hospital where his life is in danger.”
The spokesperson added: “The area has been cordoned off and you will likely see a heavy police presence in the area as we continue our investigations.
“We need anyone who has seen what happened or has a dash cam, CCTV or cell phone to contact us.”
