Here are the steps to remove Archive chat box on top of Whatsapp screen on Android devices.
WhatsApp, being a free messaging app, only requires an internet connection to work on smartphones. It sends messages, images, audio or video. The best feature it has is the call feature, as this app helps you make instant video or voice call to anyone in the world with option to make group video calls. To hide messages from archived contacts and group chats, the archive feature gives users better functionality on Whatsapp.
Once archived, the archived Chatbox appears at the top of the screen. When a new message is received, a notification displays a number of unread texts. The number next to the text ‘Archived’ indicates the unread messages present in the box. The archived box is displayed at the top of the screen. This means that the chats will remain hidden and will never see a new message from the archived chats. This can be changed through the settings option.
Here is the step-by-step guide to removing archived chats from your screen:
Step 1: Open Whatsapp chat on your Android device.
2nd step: If you have already archived a contact, tap the Archived box at the top of the screen.
Step 3: Now after clicking on the box, all your archived chats will be opened.
Step 4: Click on the three dots icon in the upper right corner.
Step 5: Tap on “Archive Settings”.
Step 6: Now deactivate the option “Keep discussions archived”.
Step 7: Once the above option is disabled, the archived box will disappear from the top of the screen.
