Currently in the developer beta, support for small gatherings in Ensemble mode will soon be available to everyone.

San Francisco: Microsoft is working on supporting small meetings in its Together mode which has gained popularity because it puts participants in one place using artificial intelligence (AI) in the Teams collaboration app.

Currently in the developer beta, support for small gatherings in Ensemble mode will soon be available to everyone.

“Love that I can use together mode in #MicrosoftTeams with only two people when I’m on developer preview Smiley face with heart shaped eyes. I’m hardly ever in a meeting with 5 or more people, ”Microsoft MVP Amanda Sterner recently tweeted.

Microsoft is finally expanding the availability of its Together mode feature in Teams meetings.

The new feature will work even for one person, for those who want to sit alone in a cafe environment in the comfort of their own home and think.

Microsoft Teams launched Together mode for meetings in July 2020 and currently the feature can accommodate up to 49 people at a time.

To date, the feature has been activated when at least five people have joined the meeting, but soon you will be able to activate Together mode with only two people.

Together mode uses AI to digitally place participants in a shared background as if they were sitting in the same room as everyone else in the meeting or class.

Together mode makes meetings more engaging by helping people focus on the faces and body language of others, and making it easier to detect the non-verbal cues that are so important to human interaction.
