Cameo’s celebrity video rental platform expands to live calls. The app, known for its library of stars ready to record personalized video messages for a fee, unveiled Cameo Calls this week.
Fans are invited to connect with their favorite actors, athletes, artists and influencers in âthe ultimate digital meet and greet,â according to Cameo. Choose from over 500 available “talents” for up to 15 minutes of discussion; celebrities set the length and price of their call, which can be commemorated at the end with a photoshoot.

Early adopters include James and Oliver Phelps (Harry potter film series), James Marsters (Buffy the vampire slayer), soap opera star Scott Evans, social media personality Duke Depp, David Henrie (the Wizards of Waverly Place), recording artist Mya, Symonne Harrison (The case) and Dana DeLorenzo (Ash vs. Evil Dead). An official Cameo Calls video (above), meanwhile, features faces like Tom Felton (also from Harry potter celebrity), Sarah Drew (Grey’s Anatomy) and skateboarding legend Tony Hawk.
Cameo Calls are hosted on individual talent pages and in the app calendar, where users can see a calendar of upcoming conversations and awards; buy a ticket to receive a unique code that will serve as the entrance to a call.
