Bucs Super Bowl 2023 odds: What Tampa Bay needs to do in the offseason to win Super Bowl 57

Things have changed drastically for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in just days, so their odds of reaching Super Bowl 57 are down to +1000.

2021 seemed realistic, it could be a repeat of Tampa’s Super Bowl performances. Tom Brady was back, Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Rob Gronkowski were deadly in the passing department and Leonard Fornutte was a stallion on the pitch. They brushed off an NFC South title and made it to the NFC Divisional Round before making a furious comeback against the eventual NFC champion Los Angeles Rams.

If the entire crew returned next season, the Bucs would be in prime position for another Super Bowl run. However, just days after the season, Hall of Fame QB Tom Brady announced his retirement. It also makes Rob Gronkowski much less likely to return. It also makes Tampa a much less attractive destination for free agents with a quarterback situation still up in the air, with either Kyle Trask or Blaine Gabbart the current QB1. So the first thing they’ll need to do to have a real shot at the Lombardi Trophy is bring in an experienced QB free agent. Russell Wilson has been a name often thrown around as someone who could be on the move and would be the most realistic big name option for the Bucs.

They’ll also likely have to find a replacement at TE for Gronk, at least for depth purposes. They have OJ Howard and Cam Brate, who are solid. Still, those two combined don’t make up for all the production Gronk has brought to the team. Their situation as coordinator is still evolving as well, with Byron Leftwich and Todd Bowles vying for other head coaching vacancies in the NFL.
